January 21, 2012- The 2012 calendar is posted!

November 2- Two new smaller galleries- one for my nieces and one for my first Baby portfolio shoot.  Thanks again to Lisa, Aaron & Keira!  Coming soon- the 2012 calendar...

October 13- A new gallery for 2011 New Hampshire foliage pictures.  A pretty good year for foliage.

September 25- More Bugaboo Creek food pictures added to the Commercial section.  Check them out, get hungry and head to the Lodge :)

August 18-  My first couples photoshoot- Thanks to Geanina and Mircea ('Mitch') for their time and willingness to brave the rainy drizzle on Sunday to do a shoot and visit scenic Portsmouth.  Hopefully next time the sun will be out and it will be even more scenic!  The good news is I think the pictures came out well anyway, mostly due of course to the models :)

Someday maybe I can do some shots as well as Dave.

July 26- A double upload: The first commercial shots are here.  Exciting and tasty!  Also, Diane agreed to do a nature shoot up in Conway and some of the shots are uploaded in the gallery with her name.  Thanks again to Diane for volunteering and braving the bright sun and heat to do the shoot.  Another big learning experience for me as I work on model photography.  So who is next?  ....

July 10, 2011- People are here!  Hopefully more on the way...

By popular demand I am branching out beyond landscape and nature photography to do some people/model photography.  First up in the new model gallery are images from two photoshoots: a 'traditional' pretty girl commercial model type shoot (special thanks again to Glenn) and a family style shoot (thanks again to Dawn and family). 

Obviously I have a ways to go before taking picture shots as good as my friend Anna, but with practice I will get there.  Which means I need models to practice with... so who is up for a fun photo shoot and getting some (semi) professional shots done :)

For those who are shy about such things, remember in this day and age of Facebook there are images of you already all over the internet; here is a chance to get a good image to counterbalance that picture of you your friends took in college after the drinking contest...

Remember also it is not a competition, it is about getting a good image of you that you can use as your profile picture or just to have a good shot of yourself.  To show it doesn't hurt, I even put in two pictures of myself from last hiking Saturday on Mt Washington- they don't even show my photography ability very well since I wasn't behind the camera.

This update also includes a new gallery of shots taken in 2011, I have been remiss in posting new pictures this year and the new gallery has a couple different settings, mostly of Mt Washington area and the local Portsmouth/Seacoast area.

June 12, 2011- under construction yet again, mostly compressing the larger photos to make room on the server (it will also mean faster viewing of images)-

November 15- Fall foliage for 2010!  Lots of colorful pictures from around New Hampshire.  Coming soon... the 2011 calendar pix :)

September 18- Vegas pictures are here!... 135 new pictures in four new galleries.  Personally I like the Red Rocks nature pictures the best :)

September 3- pictures from trip to Portland Oregon, the Rose Garden and a Japanese Garden.

August 15- added pictures from the ancestral homeland (Mid-coast Maine) and a gallery of pictures of flowers in the Portsmouth area (mostly Prescott Park).

July 5, 2010- Added 'Sand & Stars gallery'.  A couple Waterfalls in there too.

June 6, 2010- As promised below, a new Gallery for the new camera- see the page below labeled '2010Camera'.  Keeping the same website format for now.

Exciting news update (2/21/10) - at long last I bought a 'real' camera- a digital SLR (a Canon Rebel T1).  Soon I should have some more pictures, maybe video, maybe even redo the website entirely...

The calendar galleries are those pictures I (and Staples) have made into calendars for the last couple years.  In theory they represent the best of that year and sometimes are edited with captions and sayings.  I tried to match sayings and pictures wherever I could; sometimes the connection is obvious and sometimes subtle.  Sometimes there is no connection at all and it is just a saying I like with a picture I like :)  Ask if your curious on what it means...

I have also split the site into multiple pages to so you do not have to download as much each time and this homepage loads faster. I know it is a rather simple and 'no frills' kind of website, but I need to maximize the space available for pictures, which are the real reason for the site itself.  Please enjoy:)
